Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in California he was 55 years old.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The renowned video game developer died after his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in LA on this past Sunday, as reported by.

"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and all those touched by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
