The Secret Organization is poised to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the real showdown isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.

The streaming service revealed this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Mr. 2. Bon Clay possesses the power to morph into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will portray a rendition of that character reimagined as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, as in the original manga and cartoon version.

Escola will work alongside several other new cast members tasked with bringing Baroque Works to the screen, such as chief Mr. 0, played by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the ensemble as the ruler of the fictional land.

Although the role is a major member of Baroque Works, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Considering the second season set to cover the Little Garden segment, this marks a notable change in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.

Their mix of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the character. In addition to their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.

Netflix's live-action One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
